It's fun to see there's another guy going through a lot of similar things, and we can relate to a lot of the same things, so it's pretty unique. If you're going to make a long-term investment, who else would you do it with? This takes away any of the issues of how committed we are to winning a Cup, how committed we are to keeping a team together. My bet is the money won't affect him. He'll play every shift like it's the seventh game of the finals of the Stanley Cup, and that's what we've come to love about him. He takes the play to teams. Anything is possible with that kid. On the bench, we can feel it—we can feel how he just grabs a hold of the game and goes after it. He charges down the ice, and every time he has the puck you think he's going to score. Alex wants to be on the ice as much as he can. But to do that, he's got to play great defense. He has been amazing. He's a normal guy with superstar status. He treats everyone the same ... he's just down-to-earth. Within a week or so we knew that we had a real special human being here. He plays with incredible passion. He's a tremendous hitter when he wants to hit. He works extremely hard. He's got a bullet for a shot. You cannot compare Ovechkin to anyone. He is in his own class.
